In January I emailed CS about purchasing a new cell phone, and was
told that I had to wait for 18 months (activated phone 10/02) before I
could activate another one with out paying full price for the phone. I
figured I only had a couple of more months to wait, so I didn't mind
hanging on to my lg4ne1 a little longer (I like the phone, but I want
PCS vision).
I'm pretty vague on how all of this works. I had a 1 year plan
orginally that expired 10/03. I got an email in September offering me
free pcs to pcs and bumping my anytime mins from 9 to 8 p.m, if I
signed up for a 2 year contract. I jumped on the offer as I thought it
was an excellent deal. I didn't upgrade my phone at the same time I
upgraded my plan, and I want to do so now that my 18 months are up. Is
sprint going to contact me with the offer as they did with the
retention offer, or do I have to go about this on my own? Sprint
really hasn't given me much information on it and honestly the E-mail
I recieved from CS was very vague.
My questions would be 1) What kind of deal would I get on a new phone?
Is it like the current new customer promo + activation? and 2) Does
this require re-upping your contract? My current one is set to expire
9/05. If I activate a phone in May would my contract then expire in
5/06?

Call up telesales. 1-888-253-1315
And they should be able to help you in the purchase of a new phone,
assuming you have one picked out. They may require you to get a REBATE
for $150 discount and to reset your 2 year agreement.
