Hi,
I am writing a paper & am trying to find a few OS standards. I know one which is the "C2" security standard. This standard goes across all os's (linux, win, mac, etc).

I assume that a web browser would also be an OS standard.

Can anyone name a few more?

Thanks,
Rich

Heres the instructions:

Hardware and Operating Systems

Due: 4/10/2002

Objective:

The technical analysis should provide a concise description of the way a particular technology works.

Part 1: General Questions

1 - What standards are relevant for Hardware and Operating Systems?

The OS standards would be items that are standards on all OS's, distrubuted time, C2 security, etc.

I was hoping for some suggestions as to some other standards on OS's.

Someone else suggested:
TCP/IP
IPX/SPX
HTTP
FTP
HTML

but I think these are networking standards instead of OS standards.
