Mixing memory good idea???

I just got a new working stick of 512mb pc3500 from corsair for my a7n8x deluxe and wanted to know if it is better just to leave the corsair stick in by itself or will it hurt my system if I put some cheap crucial 128mb stick in WITH the corsair memory??? Also whats this memtest program that everyone uses? Can someone show me a link please?? Thanks!!

The 512 is more than enough. You can put the 128 in there but the 3500 will slow down to the speed of the 128 assuming that it is slower seeing they dont make 3500 in 128.
