Here is my story. I ported my number from ATT to Sprint to try the
service. It was great, but at my workplace, zero service. I decided to
take the phone back after 7 days of use for my full refund. Now the
fun part. I worked with Sprint and ATT numerous times (7 calls to
EACH) before the port back worked. I was told by Sprint once my ATT
phone started working again, the port is complete.

So, 10 days after purchasing and returning my Sprint phone, I was back
and happy with my same old number on my ATT plan. Now the horror
story. I kept calling sprint after receiving a bill a month later for
service. I told them I don't have my sprint phone and my number is
ported back to ATT, they keep telling me the port process is still
going and I am responsible for service. After 90 fun filled days, the
port process actually "Completed" according to Sprint and I am slapped
with a grand total of $238.40 of service charges. I argue with
customer support for 45 minutes stating:
1) I was never warned that porting my number would essentially void
the 14 day complete refund policy by ANYONE at sprint, not their sales
rep OR customer service.
2) How can I pay for service I CANNOT use? My port was complete
according to ATT, sprint phone returned to Best Buy. How can I be
liable for something out of my control (the port process)
3) How can I be expected to pay $238.40 for 72 minutes of usage over a
7 day period?!

They would not budge! I am so frustrated at this point. Anyone have a
similar situation. What should my next step be? Any help much
appreciated!

PS: BE WARNED. SRPINT customer service STINKS! I have been an ATTWS
customer for 3 years and have my complaints, but their customer
service shines in comparison. I will NEVER use Sprint again. Just my
opinion, have had a VERY bad experience.

Call Executive Services @ 817 215 3149 and ask Jennifer Ferguson for
Dave Cumlin to handle this.

Also you may write to your State Attornet General with a certfied copy

SPCS customer service really does blow goats. There is no way in hell I'd
pay that bill, so don't let them bully you into it. Keep escalating/calling
back until you get someone with some sense.

I know hindsight is 20/20, since porting a number is such a major
step, it would seem prudent to check out coverage first before doing the
port. This is the first I have heard that number porting does not
qualify for a 14 grace period for the Advantage Agreement. Are you in a
Sprint PCS corporate area, or in an affiliate area?
