I have a soyo dragon plus motherboard that has two RAID connectors. I guess I would be able to connect 2 drives to each for a total of four. I currently have only one 60GB drive but on the normal IDE connector. If I were to get another 3 drives, What benefits would setting them up as a RAID give me as opposed to having all 4 on the normal IDE connectors?

You can have only one drive for each RAID connector (IDE channel) if you want to set up a RAID array. Also the benefits would depend on whether you want RAID0 or RAID1 configurations.

Well you can run them as standard drives on the raid channels. which is easy to do, or setup a raid array.

Read the RAID FAQ for info.
