Is it me or has all of THGC been dead for the past few days? Especially the Other section.

What oh what can someone do to liven it up? I guess posting this before the weekend won't do much...

I'll be spending a lot less time here in the Other Section,[That should make you very happy] I'm into something new and so far I'm really enjoying it, getting everything together to be a Mobile DJ, it looks simple but the amount of work to make it a reality is unbelievable, coupled with the legal aspects of owning legal copies of all the music I play, anyhow this is the first work I've done in a long time thats actually fun. I think I'm really going to enjoy this, I know you don't really care, but I'm busting at the seams to tell someone, and Ned_Flanders is a dumbass! :smile:

No. Best gothic rave I've been to was on a submarine. Actually I've really only been to two of them. The sub and then another one in a bakery.

That was gothic in every possible way. They themselves called it that way. In my recollection, it featured a lot of gothic stuff. Or prolly S&M oriented.

I'm preparing for doing Weddings, but hadn't considered Funerals, I don't know though, at least it would sound better than some of the singing I've heard at funerals, I'd just feel really weird at getting paid to do that, of course when one of my friends died he had requested they play Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd, really wish he hadn't done that, now I can't listen to Freebird without feeling sad.

Ok scratch what I said, they didn't say Gothic rave on IGN. Actually they said nothing, but almost anyone would agree it was S&M. And btw I think you're talking about the rave scene in the Reloaded one. In Revolutions they go in a bar where it's populated by people with mostly S&M desire. I can't lie when I say that gothic and S&M are loosely tied together. I'll have to see it again to be sure though.

Personally I wouldn't do funerals. I dunno, something about even playing music there just doesn't feel right. UNLESS the person before he or she died wished to have a not so gloomy funeral and asked for some nice music, upbeat or not, or even people coming in casually or any clothes that aren't black.

Look at the pic man, it doesn't get any more clearer than this. Even if it isn't the most gothic one, it still has gothic elements to it. I've seen the movie twice, and my memory rarely fails me on what I remember, especially if I feel it to be correct.

Go to a goth club and you'll see what I mean. Tons of the cure and lots of lazers and lesbians making out and stuff....they're pretty fun

I don't think you have to be into S/M to be a goth. I doubt those chicks were lesbians either. It was just 3 chicks on stage making out for fun. Goth clubs plain and simple have good music and some of the best light shows around so they're fun to go to.

I never associated it directly to S&M, just said it was pretty loosely tied, as in it's not rare to see that. S&M almost always consists of very gothic wear, black leather, spike rings, dark mascara, black lipstick, and the equipment.

I said ALMOST always. I know very well it can be done without that.

You oughtta check out sometime some documentaries on it. The show Kink outlines that lifestyle very well, and accounts for a good representation of typical S&M lifestyle and trust me, it is often gothic or has elements of it.
I just saw the show again today BTW. Two lesbians, wearing black leather.

I agree, it really hadn't been in my planning, but so many things that hadn't been in the planning have arisen, that I need to set some limits on the type of events I cover or not.
