3D Mark 2003

Hi All,
I'm really unfamiliar with 3DMark 2003 but I downloaded the shareware version and ran the benchmark. My score was
4680. Seems like I ran an older version and a really good score was over 10,000 but I haven't used it for ~4 years. Can someone give me the scoop on scoring? Thanks!!

I'm no expert, but from what I've observed every new 3Dmark is more difficult than the past. In a year or so, the PCs will be strong enough to get a 10K score on this 3Dmark, and then they will make a harder one.

I couln't believe how some of the scenes slowed my system to a crawl. I have a P4 2.0G with 512 DDR Ram and a GeForce4 Ti4600. Some scenes were 3-4 FPS! I mean I have nearly styate of the art gear and I couldn't play these demos in high resolutions. Incredible.
