Dungeon Siege 2 - Help Last Battle

I am on the last battle. What do I have to do to kill this guy. I have hit
those little eye statues for over 200,000 points of damage and they won't
break. Therefore - help. Thanx.

They don't break (contrary to what it says when the mouse hovers on it).
When you hit them a few times they shoot a beam of massively destructive
light out in one direction. There were a few of these on the way to the
final level to experiment with. Hope you had some resurrect scrolls if
any party members were standing in the wrong place. ;-}

Valdis is not hurt by normal weapon damage at first, so you have to
trick him into moving in front of these things and then making THEM
shoot him in order to hurt him. Do that enough and you get to the next
stage or two, with more fighting and then a final setup, in which the
last step should be apparent when it comes up. A tough battle. Good
