ddr 2700 problems

I called amd and they said that because i am running generic memory (ddr2700) that is why my 2700+ does work correctly. The problems with my cpu is when i transfer any large amounts of data or when running a game (ut2003) my system freezes. any clues?

just as a note when my cpu is under clocked 1.7 then every thing works fine but when clocked where it should be 2.2 then this is where i have the problems.
