Well for some reason when I start my computer up more than half of my RAM is eaten up (around 38-45% still free). Now I don't think it was like this before, in fact i think after turning the computer on it was more like 70-75% free. I’m not sure what happened to make the amount of RAM free drop like that but if anyone has any idea of what I can do let me know.
(Ive gone into msconfig and ive also gone to my processes and checked it out)

Athlon XP 2000+
256 PC 2100
Ps. I’m looking to solve my current problem not add more ram yet, so don’t advise to get another stick of RAM please
