I want to buy some more RAM now, but need help....

I am using 256MB Crucial Micron 2100 DDR (32x8). From what I've seen, RAM prices have dropped quite nicely this past week or so. My mobo supports 512MB in each of 3 slots (up to 2700DDR). I want to bring my system memory to 512MB.

I'm thinking about getting the following from NewEgg:

Crucial Micron 256MB (32x64) PC 2100 DDR RAM - OEM ($40.99)

Does this RAM work with 32x8? I don't know too much about RAM and don't want to get caught with incompatible RAM.

Thanks.

  1. yes, it sounds like your motherboard is pretty up to date, if it can handle 1.5gb, so I wouldn't worry about incompatibility, only for ultra dense modules like 1gb DDR

Instead of Rdram, why not just merge 4 Sdram channels...
  2. Alright. Thanks.
