hi, i need to know whether it was better for me to buy a usb modem or a pci wireless card to make an home wireless small lan?...of course in addition to a wireless router/acess point.

i'm asking this question because i'm a linux user, and linux isn't widely supported by hardware vendors as it's open source, and it's drivers also should be. and whether an usb modem or a pci card is better please tell if there were models that support linux or not if any.

I would download the latest Linux driver from Intel.

thanks for your reply, but i don't think that intel's nics are available where i live. however there are local distributors of cisco, d-link and tp-link devices. and i think those are my only choise, i'm stuck with those vendors for the moment.

Check the models available and then look at the manufacturer web site to determine if Linux drivers are available before you buy.
