My mainboard is ECS K7S5A
processer Duron 900
When purchasing the ram I was told it was PC-133SDRAM.
After installing the "PC-133SDRAM" the computer would identify the ram as NVRAM and not SDRAM.
I was using one stick of DDR before I installed "PC-133SDRAM", is it possble that my mainboard still thinks its using the DDR?
or
Did I get a cheap substitute for real PC-133SDRAM?

I think thats a trait of that M/B, I built one for a friend, and it listed the same thing, but nothings wrong.

NVRAM is an abbreviation of Non-Volatile Random Access Memory, a type of memory that retains its contents when power is turned off. One type of NVRAM is SRAM that is made non-volatile by connecting it to a constant power source such as a battery.
Like the guy said above some boards do post this way so dont worry about it

Don't worry. My PNY 512MB PC2100 stick shows as NVRAM also upon boot. Got the same board as you.

Why would you want to downgrade?
