I work in the electronics industry, and I got a DRAM sample to do my
upgrade.
I looked EVERYWHERE on the web and found a site that explains opening
the case, and doing the upgrade.
Stupid me, I start with desoldering the old (2meg) DRAM and soldering
on the 8 meg DRAM. So far so good..
I flip the motherboard over to find the resistors that have to be
moved.. Low and behold.. my motherboard is different than the one in
the picture. DRAT!
Every picture I can find shows the 171-0006 rev A. Mine is a 171-1157
REV A.
Does anyone know what I have to move to get the 8meg chip to work??
Currently it still thinks it is a 2 meg chip.
