[SOLVED] DWA-556 driver issues, please help me ;_;

Hello, I've bought a new PCIe wifi network adapter.

A D-Link Xtreme N DWA-556.

I can tell you that it is not Xtreme in anyway at the moment.

Ever since installing, i've suffered from BSoD and reboot loop. I've managed to fix those issues, but now i'm left with a very unstable connection with incredibly low download and upload speed. My ping is freakin' 400+!!

After some searching, i've heard that the driver is the issue.

My laptop (on which i'm currently typing on) has no problem with its connection, and it's in the same room as my desktop with the wifi card.

Could someone please help, i'm on the edge of insanity.

download the drivers for the AR5008 and see if that improves your situation

Having some trouble installing the driver, windows keeps telling me that "the best driver software for your device is already installed".

Anyway to bypass this?

Installed the drivers and solved the connection and ping issue, but i'm still suffering from low download speed.

About 2.4mbps :S

DWA-556 Driver Version 10.0.0.297

This driver for Atheros AR9382 is the best driver that delivers the best performance for my DWA-556. Previously, I only was getting 2 to 3 bars on my internet connection and my speedtest was only attaining at most 17 Mbs. With version 10.0.0.297 for AR9382, I now get 5 bars on my internet connection and my speedtest can get up to 55 Mbs. What a great improvement.
