POP msg deletes from PCS Mail push messages to my phone!

So, here's a weird problem...

I set up Fastmail to pull my Sprint PCS Mail via POP. And I configured
the Fastmail POP action to "delete immediately from server".

Whenever Fastmail does this action (pull via POP and delete via POP),
each of the messages gets sent to my Sprint PCS Cell Phone as an SMS!
The POP pull and delete do work as planned, but my phone gets flooded
with all these SMS messages.

Anybody seen this?

Any work-arounds?
