As I posted in another thread, I am considering ordering the
discontinued Sanyo 4700 from a monthly-prepay company that uses the
SPCS network and apparently still has a supply of brand-new 4700's and
4900's (Some other prepaid companies offer them, but
manufacturer-refurbished.). The 4700 was NOT one of the phones listed
as internet-capable on their site. (The G3-data-services based Sanyo
4900 *was* listed, but that was a lot pricier, and even though I would
like web access for occasional use, voice is my top priority.)
Is there anyone who is still successfully using the Wireless Web on
the 4700, or at least knows for sure whether it is still actually
possible? If so, is it extremely slow, especially compared to the
4900 or any other Vision-enabled phones you may have used?
Thanks in advance, and thanks also to Robert for his helpful response
the my other post about the 4700 vs. the 4900.
