I am going to be buying a 3rd harddrive, for which i need an ide controller (no, im not going raid), i really have 2 choices, <A HREF="http://komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?action=info&p=22908&t=196&l=2&AvdID=1&CatID=15&GrpID=1&s=pl" target="_new">one with a BIOS</A> and <A HREF="http://komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?action=info&p=22904&t=196&l=2&AvdID=1&CatID=15&GrpID=1&s=pl" target="_new">one without (aboot £4 cheaper)</A>. Which should I get? How necessary is a seperate bios on the controllers?

If you want to access any drives from boot, you'll need the BIOS. If you only need the drives to show up in the OS and don't care about booting, you don't really need the BIOS.
