Hi All,
One of my users needs to access a Web Site protected by Basic Authentication
from his Treo browser. I don't think the supplied browser can do this, so I
suggested replacing it. He said that Sprint told him that no other browser
will work with the device. Is that true? Can you really not install
another browser on it?

If it is true it is Sprint specific, and that doesn't make sense to me.
I've tried other browsers on my Treo 270 w/ TMobile service and I know
Treo 600 users that are using other browsers (Xiino for example, as it
supports java). In fact Treocentral has a recent thread on one of the
newer alternative browsers:
