i've been using headphones a lot lately and i am planning on investing on some good headphones. my budget is around $150 does anyone have any comments or suggestions on what headphones i should get? i mainly play games and music on my computer... and of course movies... so i guess mainly for entertainment purposes... i would like to get the kinds where i cannot hear the outside world and become one with my computer lol
A coworker of mine has some Sennheiser 580 headphones that he swears by. Incidentally, he likes to remind people that he got them on newegg for $150. I would hope that any headphones in that price range would rock.
I was in the same postion about a month ago. If you need resources for headphones, go to http://www.headwize.com They have a great forum where you can ask questions about headphones. They guided me towards the Sony MDR-V6, and I got them for $70 at millionbuy.com They are the most versitile headphones ever. Great soundstage for gaming, DVD, and music, and the bass response is incredible. They are of low enough impedence to be driven by the sound card (they don't need an external amp, but the more power the better) I would really reccomend them. As an added bonus, they block out tons of outside noise and fold up so that they're reasonably portable. Check'em out!
i did some more reading and yeah... some people say that sennheiser makes the best headphones... the sennheiser hd580 is within my budget and i heard great stories about it. as for sampling it... where?? i'll have to look around. but one thing that i also learned was the open and closed type... i think that i would like the closed one better so that i won't be distracted by the outside world... hehehe
so yeah... maybe someone knows the release date for the Koss PRO - 4AAT ? thanx guys.
Sennheiser makes the best digital headphones I've ever heard. Bar none. I used to own a Sony Studio Set that cost $120, and my Senn blows that set away.
I want to move to space, so I can overclock processors cooled to absolute zero.
Best consumer headphones on the planet man...the HD600 is awsome. I use the HD580 myself (same exact thing except some parts are plastic instead of carbon fiber on the HD600).
If you really want to enjoy music at its finest, get yourself an entry level creek headphone amp, or if you travel with them grab a headroom total airhead 9volt.
The headphone amp will significantly improve your sound quality.
Windows is like a house of cards... One wrong move and it all comes crashing down.
