Which one will be faster?

A 60 GB HDD with single platter or 2 platter? (when rpm and buffer are same)

Definately 1 platter as opposed to two, assuming total capacity is the same and so is everything else. why?

A. Less platters run cooler, have less heads and less things to go wrong.
B. Double the data density means higher sustained data transfer rates.
