loud ASUS CRW-5224A CDRW

Hi.

I just got an ASUS CRW-5224A CDRW for my new system.

I put it in my computer and it worked fine for loading up the OS etc.

When I went to load up Diablo II, man oh man it got really loud!

Anyone else have an ASUS CRW-5224A CDRW? Do you have the same problem? Any suggestions for fixing it? Do you think it is bad?

BTY...it is in an Antec 1080AMG case.

does it stay at that speed playing the game? or does it spin down and be quiet again. if it becomes quiet again after a while that is normal for optical drives.

Thanks for the reply. I used the CD drive a lot this weekend, and it would spin down and be quiet. I also found out that it isn't always loud when it would speed up. Sometimes it was and sometimes it wasn't. I guess I just have to get used to it. Thanks.
