Hi,
I have a little problem, I just can't connect ATP5 (altec lansing) speakers digitally to my computer.
The sound card is Realtek ALC 650E AC'97 on board.
The motherboard is epox 8RDA+.
Please help....
Thanks,
Eran.

Does you sound card or mobo have a SPDIF output? Also, does the ATP5 have digital input (such as a coaxial or optical port)?

Hi,
The soundcard details can be seen here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/products [...] modelid=30
I don't understand anything but there is SPDIF
and the speakers does have 2 digital inputs (front and rear)

Just connect one of the digital inputs on the speakers with the SPDIF output of the sound card using a coaxial cable. I think your speakers only accept coaxial cable as digital input. Remember only one cable is needed for trasmitting multiple channels of audio signal. Then enable the digital sound in the Sounds setting of your Windows.
