i just got the card and everything seems to be working as smoothly as possible, except for the remote control. it seems that i have to be within a few feet for it to work properly. i took it to a friend's house who has the same card and the remote worked fine from another room, i plugged my receiver in and tried it, it also worked fine. so it's something with my situation. i've got the pc right next to the tv, but other than that there's nothing in the area that could possibly interfere with it.

have tried putting the receiver on all the different usb ports, i've got the regular mb ports, aux ports on the front of the pc and expansion slot ports. there is marginal difference when i use it on the front ports. the wierd thing is, sometimes i'll be accross the room about 15ft away and if i point it just right, it will pick up the signal. most times it won't work at all unless i'm within 5 ft of it though. all the latest drivers, winxp, p4 1.8, 512mb, abit be7-g. has anyone had an issue with the remote like this? any suggestions?

Sounds like you are in a radio dead-zone. (I think the All-in-wonder remote is a radio remote). Try getting a USB hub with a long cord or just a USB extension cable so that you can move the receiver to different places.

99% is great, unless you are talking about system stability

I would delete and reinstall the remote driver. Or better yet delete it and reinstall the new version 1.4 on the ATI site. This has worked for me on other aspects of Ati AIW problems I have had in the past.
