"A problem lies in Sanyos move from a data port charging
interface to the "standardized" pin chargers. The phones lacked a
capacitor that evens out power. This has the effect of applying too
much or too little power to the ICs, thus vastly
decreasing the reliablity and lifetime. Sanyo has corrected the problems
in the new and refurbished units."
