Hi,
I read that some people are quite happy with the 8200...I chose the
8200 since it was a sanyo...I had been fed-up with samsungs thanks to
my a460.
Anyway...the 8200's earpiece is painful! It is so shrill, I must hold
it away from my ear.
Any talk of "sweet spots" is ridiculous...a phone should NOT have a
left or right handed earpiece....three little holes off to one
side...lol!
My ears are in the same spot on the side of my skull...so I need to
hold the phone differently depending which hand I am using!? What a
joke.
The menu's seem ok, as does everything else about the phone...EXCEPT I
am waiting for the little center circle of the arrow key to fall off
soon.

Odd. General consensus on the 8200 is that the earpiece is muffled, not
shrill.
The menu button is not likely to fall off.
The 8200 gave me a much better experience than the VGA 1000.

So is the Sanyo 7300, I turned the earpiece volume down to "1".

I have a friend with a VGA 1000 and the center dial is just about to
fall off on him.

I think my VGA1000 sounds fine, not shrill or muffled, though I do
sometimes have to move it around my ear to a sweet spot. It's much,
much better in sound and reception than my previous Samsungs A460 and
3500. I think my VGA1000 sounds better than my wife's 8100. I've never
used an 8200. I haven't had any indication yet that a key will fall
off. That's my two cents.
