This might be a stupid question, but here goes. I have an Antec case with two usb ports up front. I don't know if they are usb 1 or 2. If they <i> are </i> usb 1 and I have a motherboard that has usb 2, will the ports work in usb 2 mode, or work at the slower usb 1 speed? Thanks for any help.

Both USB 1 and 2 ports have the same pin configuration. So don't worry, your USB ports on the case will work in USB 1 or 2.

I think USB 2.0 might require the 5th "sheild" wire, while that was optional on USB 1.1.

I did not have problem using a case with USB 1.1 connector for usb 2.
