Hey guys. I was running 2k on my gaming machine and then upgraded to XP. I had the refresh rate thing working really nice in 2k.
When I upgraded, I installed the 27.30 drivers and the refresh rate fix. My native resolution is 1280/1024 @ 100Hz. When I change to 1024/768, the Fix works properly, setting the refresh rate to 100Hz.
When I start Counter-strike (the real reason I would switch res), the refresh rates drops to 75 Hz, but I think that's cuz of the small initial resolution. When the game starts, I have it set to be 1024/768, but the refresh rate goes down to 60 Hz (remember, normally it would be 100)! When I hit <esc> to exit back to the main screen, I get 60 Hz instead of 75! Like it has "learned" the bad refresh rates.
Anybody have any advice to solve this? It seems really weird!
