I'm playing bf1942, while I enjoy the game immensely I sometimes miss out on the occasional explosion because I'm playing with Sound max integrated sound. I've looked around and don't honestly know if I should drop the bucks for a 24 bit sound card. How much better is a regular 16 bit soundblaster than the integrated I'm using? Is a 24 bit even worth it for my needs. Any suggestions will be considered and appreciated.

Thanks

the difference between 16-bit and 24-bit is like the difference between a Duron and an Athlon. 16-bit is good if you have dick for a budget, otherwise go for the 24-bit. You will be rocked by how much clearer and realistic the game will sound. It's like night and day.
