What is my ssid and security string

I just bought an Epson WF-3540 3 in 1 printer and evidently it is wireless. I have tried all afternoon to set it up and can't. I don't know what an SSID is or what my network name is or network password. I NEED a printer. What shall I do? Am I going to have to hire a geek to come over here and set it up?

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums. Normally the printer would offer you a chance to connect to a network it can "See" and you simply enter the security key. That network will have the same SSID - or more simply - name - as the one your computer is connected to.
