Cant connect to my home wireless network

Hello,

I have an Aspire One Acer and i have a problem with my wireless network.

I can see every wireless networks near me except the one at home. I am like 1 meter away and windows 7 cant detect it.

The weird thing is that my other devices(laptop, mac, pc, mobile etc..) can detect it and connect normally....

I even formatted and re-installed windows 7 on Aspire One laptop but still cant detect it.

I also tried uninstalling and re-installing the network drivers but still nothing seems to fix the problem...

So my last chance is to ask the guys here in hope for a solution

Is there a chance your home network is operating on 802.11n channel mode only (5GHz), and your laptop does not support it?

from my LAN settings:

Wireless Mode 802.11b/g

i dont know where i can see the GHz but it was working some days ago.. this is also weird...

Hi kosteve,

The only thing I can really think of that you didn't mention as steps you tried would be to hard reset the router (Should be a button in the back).

It's possible that your laptop doesn't support whatever channel your router is sending, so you might consider remoting into your router and changing the channel to see if that does anything for you.
