I have the black Kingwin with three windows. I love it. A guy at my work has a Lian Li and the two look almost the same. Lian Li is a true aluminum case, whereas the Kingwin is an aluminum alloy, meaning the Kingwin is less expensive (quite a bit less expensive) and a little heavier (two pounds maybe?) It's still a LOT lighter than a steel case.
Now, I haven't seen the inside of the Lian Li, but I will tell you about the Kingwin:
It's a great looking case--even if it isn't particularly innovative or aerodynamic. Mine is black with silver thumb-screws. The case just looks well-made (and it is.) I haven't seen the silver or blue/silver models up-close, but my black case is purdy.
The Kingwin is obviously well-designed and well constructed. Everything fits together well. The paint and machining is superb. No sharp edges anywhere inside the case. The windows are clear without noticeable flaws. The lighted fan on the top is a little bit dim, but the air flow in this case is awesome. The intake automatically directs air over the hard drives, which is nice. The thumbscrews are really cool. Makes disassembly and reassembly a snap. The very best feature, IMHO, is the slide-out motherboard tray. OMFG that is a cool feature! It makes it SOOOOO much easier to put a system together. Remove two thumb-screws, and slide out the tray. Install motherboard on tray, install HSF/Fan, RAM, and set jumpers (if any), slide tray into box, thred on the two thumb-screws, and you're done. I like that feature a lot.
The cables for the front-panel USB and Firewire ports are neatly routed along the botton of the case with plastic clips, which is nice. The bag came with a ton of hardware.
The vents are placed in logical locations, but are not ugly. Even installing the power supply was easy. The instructions could be a little more detailed, but everything is there.
My ONLY complaint is that the left side panel on mine (as you're looking at the front of the case) is hard to get realigned after taking it off. That's just a minor annoyance, though, and I'm pretty sure it'll get easier as I use it. Now, that may NOT be a problem on every case--it could just be a peculiarity of mine. Nothing's 100% perfect.
When I was shopping for cases, I was torn between the Lian Li and the Kingwin. I knew for a certainty that Lian Li cases were good, but they seemed soooo expensive. I finally settled on the Kingwin, and I'm really glad I did. I can't imagine how a Lian Li could be so much better than my Kingwin to possibly justify the price. There are sites like crazypc that specialize in mods for Lian Li, but so far everything I've bought there works perfectly on my Kingwin. I bought one red cathode ray tube, mounted it inside the case, and it provides a really cool effect.
Anyway, I give the Kingwin case five stars. It really is the best case I've ever owned.
