I'm starting a gig next week in a studio that uses Logic. I have never used
it, and I'm looking for a way to familiarize myself with it in the mean
time. I'm on a PC. I know Logic is Mac-only now, and I know this is a
stretch, but I wonder if anyone has a copy of a Logic demo from when it was
cross-platform. You could email me. Thanks.

I think there never was a Logic demo, at least for any recent version,
but if I'm wrong you could certainly find out over at the LUG.

I seem to remember seeing a Logic 4 Mac demo years ago, but nothing since
then. Maybe there's a PC version still floating round the internet somewhere,
but who knows where? Anyway, you'd be much better off downloading the current
manual from http://www.apple.com/support/logic/

The email would be about 24MB. The last version on the PC was at around
5.5.1 and was floating around on alt.binaries.sounds.utilities as
Emagic.Logic.Platinum.v5.5.1OxYGeN.zip
It is probably available on bittorrent and other p2p networks. I don't
mind providing this info since the PC software is now abandonware. If
you can handle a large attachment I would email it to you.
