I have a Toshiba M45-S169 Laptop that has a Matshita UJ-841S DVD-RAM drive.
Everything worked fine under Windows XP.
I upgraded to Windows 7 and it cannot see a DVD in the drive.
Contacted HP ... they do not support Windows 7 for this laptop.
Does anyone know where I can get a Windows 7 workable driver for this system?
Please no guesses or maybe try this... I've already spent considerable time doing that.
Looking for an exact answer.

Thanks in advance.

The default driver installed by Windows should work. What happens if you put a CD in the drive?

Apologies to all that I sent on a wild-goose chase. For some reason when I insert this particular software DVD into the drive the system tells me that there is no media in the drive (by the way this was the first DVD I had tried after installing Windows 7). After reading in several places that the drivers I had should work I continued to play with this problem. I found that this same DVD does show up in my XP and Vista systems. When I turned autorun on for the drive on my laptop using Windows 7... the problem went away. Thanks to everyone who attempted to resolve this problem and again my apologies for wasting your time.
