Hi,

i just bought a 128MB memory module from Dataram (ref CM128N15) for my Compaq Armada 1500c laptop (Celeron 400, 4GB HD, 32MB RAM).

the problem is... memory is not recognized!! i still have the original 32MB that came with the system...it was supposed to give a total of 160MB!!

i searched carefully for a reliable and specific module for this specific laptop and i don't get nothing...

is it necessary some kind of upgrade (bios,...)? has anyone had this kind of problem before?

thanks,
best regards

Probably bum memory or out of spec for that system. Return it immediately and go to http://www.crucial.com to use their memory selector to pick out the proper module!

Check your laptop specs... 160 may be exceeding your max ram limit... but Crashman is right... get some reputable stuff first.

To err is human... to really screw things up you need a computer!

my error! i wasn't (how should i say this in english???) putting the memory correctly in the slot... you have to do it in a certain angle, and that's why the module wasn't recognized.

tks anyway
