The site also reports the world's first 54/32/54 CD-RW!

When will the cazy race of highest burning speed among the manufacturers of CD writer ever end?

I just wish it would end and they can start a race on the dvd burner market. Making it faster with more models so it can hopefully drive down the price a little more.

Sh!t. I got a 32-page thing to write tonight and I'm already so tired I though wtf, why are they dowgrading- 54x is less than 52x. Then a minute later I said wait. Hmm.

54x what a waste... how much more noise vibration will people put up with just to get a few marginal seconds shaved off their burn times?

52x resulted in 7/8 second lower burning time compared to 48x. I bet 54x will shave less than 5 seconds vs. 52x

Yeah... thats nothing when one considers the time it takes to insert a disk, remove it or the leadin and out times.
