Hello everyone,
I have pioneer DVD rom slot in drive (DVD-106S) but I can't get any subtitle text from DVD film. I can get the subtitle when I tried the same DVD film on DVD player in Hi-Fi system. I'm using Cyberlink powerDVD and Microsoft Media Player, both of them can't show the subtitle. My OS is Windows XP.
What's wrong with this? How can I fix this problem?

Subtitles usually appear below the video portion of DVD movies. Did you play the DVD at full screen (the subtitle might be outside your display area)?

Yes, I played it full screen. The subtitle menu is selectable but nothing happened when I select the subtitle language that I want.

Have you tried to resize the video screen to a smaller size to see if it works? Also what video card are you using? Video cards with insufficient memory might also cause the problem.

The problem has been solved!! I think my VGA card is the culprit. When I change my radeon 8500 to radeon 9700, amazingly the problem just dissapeared.
