Can anyone recommend a not-too-expensive CD player which offers the "Time
Search" feature like what's on my venerable Denon DCD1520? Which is to
say, you key in track-minute-second and it pops you right to that point in
the appropriate track - you don't have to select the track and then
fast-forward your way to the desired point.
I'm thinking this feature may be present on some of the heavy-duty DJ type
CD players, but under some other technical buzzword name I don't recognize.
The Denon has been a faithful buddy, but I bought it in 1991; maybe it's
time to move on. I listen only to classical, for what that's worth in
making a choice. Don't care about DVD or MP3 capabilities, but a SPDIF
digital output is essential.
