Disappearing site advisors-creepy

Hello, have w/8 pc and download free Norton and McCafee site advisors. They download then disappear. Can't find anywhere but listed in control panel. Do not appear as promised when surfing. Is there a reason for this?

What do you you mean "download and disappear"? You need to install them first.
