I am biulding a new system and I havn't decided on which DVD writer to order yet. I have got it narowed down to the Sony DRU 500AX DVD+RW/DVD-RW combo drive or the Plextor DVD+R/RW. Is -RW and +RW worth the extra 100 bucks?
Any input would be appreciated.

That Sony drive is nice being compatible with all formats. I guess it depends on how compatible you want to be. I don't think there is a clear winner yet between the format wars.
