Why arent flat panels 4:3 in native resolution??
I went to a friend house and tried to play ut2004, and all resolutions listed besides the native one are 4:3, so they are total crap to use.

Also, I find that to play counterstrike, I need 100fps AND vsync. So in my CRT do just that, 100hz, 100fps, and Vsync. Is this possible with any TFT ?

I can't tell you why, but the native resolutions on LCD panels are usually as follows (just do the math):
15" - 1024x768 = 4:3
17" to 19" - 1280x1024 = 5:4
20+" - 1600x1200 = 4:3

I am thinking of getting a 17" to 19" LCD and want to also edit home movies and watch TV at times. All the TV and video is in 4:3. Does anyone know what will happen if I use the 5:4 17" panels to watch 4:3 video sources. Will I get black borders on the top and bottom of the screen, or will the whole picture be distorted to fit the whole screen.
