My Asus DVD-E616 only came with analog audio cable, so I went purchased a digital audio cable and hook it to the SPDIF input on my A7N8X Deluxe. Now I want to know that should I keep the connection of analog audio cable or can I connect both?

My PC has gone to hell... because it's a killing machine...

well the digital out is a better signal (clearer) than the analog, especially on a DVD-ROM its worth it... besides, that way you can plug in a burner or other optical device into the analog mobo input.

people are only idiots when they don't realize - when they do it just gets funnier, like a dog chasing its own tail, or like george bush's public address(es)

you can leave both hooked up. in the audio volume settings just mute the analog output. To hear the difference just check and uncheck the mute boxes. The digital is much better.
