I have a Win2k Prof Box with a modem on it. I want to be able to remotely access it. Do I need software such as PCAnywhere? Basically, how can I enable remote access to this box?

Thanks in advance.

Ever heard of WinVNC? It's a pretty decent little program that I prefer to almost anything (besides the Win2k Server remote desktop)

It's basically a program that runs a mini-webserver on your computer that listens on any port above 5800. You can connect to your computer by typing in the IP address in internet explorer or netscape. The mini webserver will popup an authentication screen before letting you interect fully with your computer through a java applet. Might be slow on a dialup.

Sincerely,

Chris
