Sporthound77 needs help

my wireless guru at the local IT location advised me to chg. my password in the server. he gave specific basic directions and he said it should pop right up. it is not poping. He indicated that I needed to type the 192.168 info on the address line, I can't find the address line and I really do not know what screen or service area I need to be in to do that ? I feel I need to chg. the password because my wifi device has been out in the public this week while on a trip to a conference it may have been compromised.
