Madden 2005 Questions - posted 2/13/05

Recently got Madden 2005. It says something like V6 on the intro screen
so I guess that means patch 6????

Anyway I bought a game comtroller to play the game on my pc. I
configured it and when I played Madden I noticed that whenever I try to
change the controller config to a custom setting, the settings would
"always" revert back to what they were before. Silly me thinking that
something was wrong with the controller, tossed that one and bought
another one. Same thing happens. Is this a bug or maybe I am just not
doing it right. How do you change your controller config to custom
settings. I'm getting tired of setting (1) as sprint, only to go into
the game, choose my profile and config only to hit (1) and see my RB to
a spin move!!!

One other thing, how does one call an audible? I have selected the 5
audible plays I want for offense and defense but have no idea how to
actually call them in game.

You need to set up a profile, anytime you make changes save your profile.
When makeing controller config changes, make sure you have the profile you
want loaded, then save the profile after you make the changes. When you play
a game make sure your profile is set to the controller (side that you are
playing).

If you use the offical controller, you press button number one when everyone
is set at the line of scrimmage. Then select your audible.

I'm not sure if V6 = patch 6. But it does sound like it. Cause I'm on
version 6, and when the game loads, I see V6 in the bottom right hand side.

When you start Madden, there should be a popup screen. You can click on
Information, Install, Play, .... Quit. Click Information and select
Readme. The first line should tell you what version you're running.

As to your controller, you need to set up a User Profile. Save it. And
when you go to play a game, select your User Profile under the team that you
want to be. You can read about User Profiles back on the the popup screen,
select Information and then FAQ.

specific to a user profile. Be sure you select your user profile on the
select sides screen to get the right controller configuration.


Finally, as to audibles, read FAQ and your manual.

A: Audibles are related to each user profile so each individual can set
different audibles when they play. Audibles are also playbook specific, and
any changes made will only be applied to the selected playbook. Make sure
your user profile is applied to
your team, and that you have selected the appropriate playbook prior to
starting the game. Both of these can be accomplished from the Select Sides
screen.
