Hi, I'm in search of a very specific type of Power Supply.
It needs to take 12V DC as Input, not 230V AC as with standard Power Supplies.

I need it so that I can build a computer that you can plug in a boat. I need a computer that doesn't need batteries, so that I can use the GPS and digital sea charts every time I go out on the boat, and I don't have to worry about batteries, and no, a laptop is not the answer...

Could anyone please direct me to a manufacturer that makes such Supplies that are ATX compatible, if at all there exists one...

Thx in advance...

i dont know of any. you should look into a power adaptor to plug the computer into. if you have to use a monitor, good luck finding one that runs off 12v. i hope your not talking about a little fishing boat or somthing.

my computer is so fast, it completes an endless loop in less than 4 seconds!

Just get a power inverter. There are tons of different ones out there. <A HREF="http://www.radioshack.com/category.asp?catalog_name=CTLG&category_name=CTLG_004_013_000_000&Page=1" target="_new">Radio shack</A> has a few.
