Finding my pictures and documents

Hello,
Windows 7 is new to me. I am having trouble finding my pictures and documents that were moved from the old computer. I know they are in here because I have found them before, but now I don't know how I did it.

go to the start button and in the run box window type *.mp3 or *.jpg , or *.(whatever type file your looking for) and hit enter then just note the location they are in..

You can either search for a specific name of a file or if you can't remember any you can search just the file extension, such as *jpg or *doc (star included) and it will find all the files on the pc of that type.

Right click the file and hit open file location.
