I searched and went through alot of forums but still cannot find the answer. My laptop is quite hot, and I would like to manually increase the rpm. Some recommended SpeedFan but it isn't working for me. ANd my BIOS settings don't have control options.
laptops don't typically have that ability, you are lucky in a laptop if you can even read the temps, they are set to what the designers believe is the thermal envelope. Dell for instance issued an updated bios for the xps M1330 when the nvidia bumpgate occured that bumped the fanspeed a bit, but its normally hard coded.
