I plan on buying an ASUS A7N8X MB with Athlon 2000+ CPU and 2 Corsair 256 MB PC2700 2.5 modules. I don't plan on overclocking. My plan is to upgrade the CPU to 2800 when I can afford it and to upgrade the graphics card (from current GE Force 2) next month. Is there any reason to purchase more expensive 2.0 RAM or PC3200?

This PC will be used mainly for working from home, but it needs to play games also. Thanks.

With that CPU, no.

Although you got the CL2.5 modules, they can most likely be set to CL2. Most brand name pc2700 ram is capable of this.

If you aren't overclocking then pc2700 is fine.
