I have windows xp IE 8 and SP3 and lost my wireless icon

How do I get my wireless icon back? It disappeared on me.

Hello and welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums.

Go nito Control Panel>Network Connections and right click the Wireless connection then go to Properties. Tick the box that says "Show icon in" etc, and the other one - "Notify me when" etc., click Apply and OK your way out. That should bring it back.
